Firefighters in breathing apparatus are searching through a hospital on fire for trapped or patients confined to bed. They have found a patient and have to remove him by pushing the bed out of the ward which is on fire.The fire is blazing out of control through the roof, and the firefighters are working in  temperatures in excess of 2000 degrees centigrade.  On their tunics are right angled intrinsically safe torches. There are also an A.D.S.U., an automatic distress signialling unit, which is part of their B.A. sets. This unit emits a very loud whistle should the firefighters remain motionless for a short period. Therefore, if they are trapped the unit will sound and will allow other firefighters to locate them...© SHOUT.
